4On
one occasion, while
he was eating with
them, he gave them
this command: "Do
not leave Jerusalem,
but wait for the
gift my Father
promised, which you
have heard me speak
about.
5For John
baptized with water,
but in a few days
you will be baptized
with the Holy
Spirit."
6So when they
met together, they
asked him, "Lord,
are you at this time
going to restore the
kingdom to Israel?"
7He said to
them: "It is not for
you to know the
times or dates the
Father has set by
his own authority.
8But you will
receive power when
the Holy Spirit
comes on you; and
you will be my
witnesses in
Jerusalem, and in
all Judea and
Samaria, and to the
ends of the earth." |

Solid
Rock Christian Ministries is in the business of transforming lives
to advance the Kingdom of God world-wide. Solid Rock is involved in an
international vision to create and empower disciples through the truth of
God's word with integrity, excellence, and compassion. Our
ministry operates within God's divine order. Believers are divinely set
within the body of Christ gifted to serve in specific areas, and strategically
connected to one another to accomplish the work of the Kingdom. Pastors Brian and Yolanda Ewing believe that each believer of Christ is to
perfect their spiritual gifts to contribute more effectively to the work of the
Kingdom. The first chapter of Acts informs us that the infilling of the Holy
Spirit within the believer, empowers us to productively perform the Lord's work
internationally. In addition, Solid Rock believes in operating in a
spirit of excellence. In these last and evil days, it is important for Christian
ministries to manifest operational excellence to be effective in transforming
lives in our local communities and throughout the world.
What we Believe
The Bible, the Scriptures, both
Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God without error in the
original writings, and complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men,
and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. God--There
is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in
three Manifestations: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ--Jesus
Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and
born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross, the complete and final sacrifice
for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose from the
dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He
is now our High Priest and Advocate.
The Holy Spirit--The ministry of the
Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age, to convict
men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and
empower the believer for godly living and service. Man--Man was created
in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only through
regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
Salvation--The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the
only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such
as receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become
children of God.
